I started embracing a healthy lifestyle by eating clean and working out 9 months ago. I struggled in putting my body system away from all the bad food. I can say… I am not anymore craving those, though there were times I had to eat some still It does not turn out to a binge cause I have put in mind that those are very
Of course, there is always imperfection in everything. There is this one thing that causes my overeating and I find it difficult to avoid. As an Asian, eating rice seems to be an essential part of our meal. We add rice to almost every meal. Even I eat enough calories but if it does not include rice, I still feel weak and sometimes I skip workout cause of it. It sounds weird, but maybe because of genetics?
The fact that I am being kind to my Asian body allows me to feed it with what it needs. But at least to make myself have limit over it. Cause often times when I can see a rice with a good side dish with it, or those Kakanin “ Filipino rice sweet desserts” I can’t stop myself to eat a lot.
Currently, I allow a rice intake daily in my diet, but just a cup a day. It's hard to resist whenever the entire family is eating the Asian way, and wherever I go rice is present. Well…I think that’s what I need to work on. Control.
